On Sunday May 16, 22-year old hip-hop artist M-Bone, born Montae Talbert died at the age of 22. The member of Cali Swag District was shot twice in the head in a drive-by shooting in Inglewood, California. Talbert was said to be an innocent victim.
Police arrived to the 400 block of North La Brea at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night to find Bone in the driver's seat of a black vehicle. After being rushed to a local hospital, the rapper was announced dead. The gunman has not been found.

C-Smoove and M-Bone help make up the California rap group that also features Yung and JayAre. Despite several push-backs for the release of their debut album, the group is planning to release The Kick Back, which features the group's popular platinum dance hit Teach Me How to Dougie, which featured Jermaine Dupri, B.o.B., Bow Wow and Red Cafe.
The group was labeled to Capitol Records before recently leaving the company. Their debut album is much anticipated, and features additional songs such as Where Your Are and Kickback.
The young rapper was inspired by hip-hop greats such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Fabolous and Lil Wayne.
In an interview with CNN, Cali Swag representative, Greg Miller paid tribute to M-Bone; (M-Bone) was an inspiration to his family, friends and fans. He was a hardworking, passionate artist and dancer who will be sorely missed.
