The Luxirie clothing brand is the sister brand on LRG. Luxirie, A Labour of Love, is fairly new on the
hip hop clothing scene. LRG was already very popular when they decided to develop the women’s LRG line. The name
Luxirie was created by the combination of two words. “Lux” means refinement of living while “Irie” means a state of
feeling the highest. By combining these root words LRG came up with the name Luxirie for their
women’s hip hop clothing brand.
Luxirie is very similar to its roots at LRG in purpose and values. The people at Luxirie strive to inspire creativity,
open mindedness, and artistic freedom. Just like LRG they also are very faithful to support underground talent and
strive to uncover undiscovered talent. While LRG focuses on male talent Luxirie focuses on women who are trying to
make it while paying their rent with their passions. Luxirie also celebrates diversity and positivity.
The LRG brand came to an agreement to launch a women’s line in 2005. By doing so they expanded into the Luxirie line.
Luxirie began much like the original LRG brand and gained moderate success. However, an increase in demand for
women’s hip hop streetwear caused the line to grow rapidly in one year’s time. Luxirie, A Labour of Love by LRG was
released in Canada and the United States in the year 2006 and is still growing today. In order to recognize the
Luxirie brand look for the signature “L” inside of an arrow shaped like a heart. The Luxirie brand is also given
away by its sexy, classy, and contemporary styles. This addition to the hip hop clothing scene is allowing females
